Adventure Peru Path invites you on an adventure that takes you through the incredibly breathtaking and historically fascinating land of Cusco that was once held the Inca Empire.
Explore these beautiful ruins along in the South Valley of the city, just south of Cusco with our expert guides. Our half day tour will take you to the sites of Tipon a hydrology center and Inca experimental site. You will enjoy the incredible landscape of the Cusco region in the south, explore Pikillacta a pre-Inca site and the rich history of the Church of Andahuaylillas.
We will pick you from your Cusco hotel at 7:30 AM with a private van and drive to Tipon, Pikillacta, and the Andahuaylillas Church (the most famous church in South America).
At Tipon we will tour the extensive site which holds remarkable gardens irrigated with fresh cool water that runs through an intricate system of fountains made by the Inca.
Next, Pikillacta “the City of Fleas” is and impressive and ancient pre- Inca site built in the first century and developed by the Wari civilization. We will have an extensive tour learning about the Wari people and exploring the administrative capital area.
Finally, we will make our way to the small town of Andahuaylillas, home to the dazzling 17th century church known as the “Andean Sistine Chapel.” Interestingly, the church was built on the site of an old Inca temple or Huaca (sacred place). The church’s altar is gilded in 24 karat gold leafing and adorned with both Christian and local symbols or Quechua ornaments.
After we have a wonderful day in the South Valley tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Cusco.
